Home building is the collective term used to describe the act of building a home, usually referred to as a "house" when considering those who will or at present live in there. The home builder will make sure the site will be built in accordance with local building codes. The home builder also inspects the existing structure on the site to ensure that the addition will not create structural or environmental problems. In some instances the residential construction team may work directly with the contractor, while other times the home builder will assign one of their construction managers to oversee the project. Either way residential construction teams are responsible for the completion of the project on schedule.
